prices needed dude. are we supposed to guess?
or worse still, to "make offers"?

sorry to be a dick, but i hate sales threads that are actually auctions or fishing expeditions. you know what you want, ask that. if people think it's too high, they won't buy.

Cooldan,in some repects does have a point

Someone tho is gonna be happy if they get LOTR - GREAT GREAT game

I like that the UKVAC forum has mandatory pricing on the for sale threads. If people are unsure of values then there's a 'valuations' forum too ...

As mentioned in my original post, i would be updating the thread with more info and pics etc as time allows...

So i'm selling a few games from my expanded collection as i don't have the time or space to keep everything. Not an uncommon issue i'm sure you'll agree. My focus for pinball has shifted to software reprogramming and creating funky board replacements. (see the 80b cpu thread if you have a spare minute) Some of the games listed are restored from previous owners, some are as is and future projects for me if i had had the time. The descriptions are as accurate as i can make them. They are what they are. Anyone is welcome to visit my place and view to chat about them or discuss a deal etc. The passion for restorations has wained.... I will also be creating a few other for sale threads on other parts etc i have to sell. The prices will be included....

Supersonic - £350
Bought for a restoration project or for a software project. Other games are now in the frame and this one may not suit my purposes exactly, so its up for sale. Needs a re-rubber and an overhaul. Is complete but cpu board needs replacing or looking at if you have time. All boards present. The good thing about this game is that the back glass, playfield and plastics are all in great shape. There is no wear on the play field. The cab is also nice with only a few scuffs here and there as you would expect.

Indy 500 - £1850
Bought from another collector a few months ago in another trade. Fully working with the rarer european solid red cabinet. Unfaded and looks brill. Also has full playfield led kit, powder coated legs, lockdown bar, painted side rails. Nice dmd, all boards good. Playfield and plastics all in good shape. I really like this game and i doubt i'll ever find a nicer one, but i'm trying not to think about it!

Next post will include info for Dr Who, Apollo 13 and the Zizzle POTC

Dr Who - £2000
Bought from another collector a few months a go. This is definitely the nicest one i've seen with original unfaded cabinet. (slight fade to lower of cab front). Lovely crisp and shiny playfield. (minor wear to mini playfield front edge). Good DMD, topper present (fixed version). Inside of cabinet is also very clean, so not had a hard life. Playfield has leds fitted for some colours. Not 100% sure about it myself as i like stock better, but the whites look good. Very reluctant sale. Putting a top price on it because of condition and that i would quite like to keep it. I also have a new mini playfield and front strip that i was going to fit.

Zizzle Pirates of the Caribean - £150
Small kids sized pinball which was bought for family use. Good size for young kids and to start out on. Average condition. Plastic glass could do with replacing.

Apollo 13 - £1100
Nice playfield and very tidy cabinet. Electric blue powder coated legs which match the blue metal on the playfield and apron. Was another of my projects to do a full strip down and rebuild. Playfield is nice condition but would suit a re-rubber and polish. Currently has had all new flipper assemblies (every part inc coil and base plate). New trough opto boards. 1 niggly fault with the moon magnet. Board set good. magic ram fitted (of course!) Good dmd, New balls (all 13). 1 missing plastic in middle (the usual one that gets smashed) Haven't taken any pics yet as is at a friends house, but will update the thread once i have some.

Ah i see it all now lol. Sorry, have been replying via my phone and the location doesn't come up.

Currently got a reject guide dog here, awaiting a new home called Pudsey :D

Would you be able to fix the moon magnet? ? I'm pretty useless when it comes to circuit boards etc :D
i have an A13 which also have a niggly moon magnet problem. if this one didn't have it, i'd have been tempted to buy it and swap the best bits over, but thanks for the honesty. @Calimori knows more about my A13 than i do, we're both still hoping to find someone driving south who can bring it to The Slam for hive diagnosis

si

ps, whereabouts is the A13 please?

Time to spend on it is the biggest issue. I could sort it if I had more time. Though if it's a major no no then I'll fix it then readvertise. Usually there's a few pinheads who are looking for something to get their teeth into.

As mentioned, I have done a bit of research and work on @cooldan A13 and this morning I got a positive test for the magnet holds and grabs but I need to refit the under ramp to play it and check that.

So a quick list of things to check and repair
Inline fuse near magnet: 4 amp
Magnet should read about 4.7 ohms resistance
Magnet control board up near right flipper: IRL540N ~ £1
Central lighting board: 1x 555 timing chip, 2 x 2n3904 and 1 x 2n3906 ~ £2.60
Fuse 21 in back-box blows: Instructions say 5 amp but apparently a service release says 3 amp (other things won't work so you would know if this was an issue)

Add in the cost of fuses/RCB's and I can see this costing less than a £10 in parts if your moon magnet is actually not the issue. I did take the moon apart and check this, clean up the protective covering but if the ohms are good then the other fixes are cheap and worth trying too.

Translation from Japanese.
Buy it as the game is great without the magnet. Take out two boards, no soldering required, bring them to my house and I will show you how to test and repair them for under £3. Play some games, head home and refit boards. Hopefully you have then fixed your new machine for the price of petrol, a days pinball and some cheap parts. :)

Indy 500 now Sold. Supersonic being sold as parts on ebay. Keeping playfield. Everything else to go

Would consider a trade with a twister game and some cash for the apollo. Not looking for any other games.
