Having a look at this for a mate. It’s a light up apron for MB. It’s powered by a 12v DC in to 120v AC out inverter. This then feeds what looks like a light pad.

The inverter is pushing out 120V AC from the 12V DC input - at a 700Hz which is a bit surprising.

I should say that the apron isn’t lighting up as expected!

Not managed to find anything on the web about these - be surprised if it’s a one off - so thought someone here might he know something about them.

Specifically interested to know what kind of light the 120V is powering. Be good to understand how we can test the light to see if it’s failed or if it’s the inverter at fault

If my meter is correct that the inverter is pushing out at 700Hz - is that correct? If not which components would control the frequency.

And generally where to find more info - it’s really nicely made.
