any windows gurus?

not pinball (but jukebox, so close). I have a touchscreen which is rs232. to run this I have a brainbox usb to serial. It seems to load the drivers for the serial before it loads the drivers for the usb (so doesn't work automatically, I have to unplug and replug in when booted).
Looking in the drivers, theres a priority setting:
usb is 00fff01 and the brainbox is 0fff00 (or similar). Can I edit the registry and swap these? If so, what key do I look for?

Hi !
If the screen is a zytronic thru glass touch screen you need to install the driver first before you install the touch screen or it will never work ! (I would assume that you have to install the usb to serial drivers before you install touch screen drivers ?). After you install touch screen drivers you have to restart the computer & it should ask you to connect touch screen. Connect touch screen, computer should see it, go into settings & then calibrate for proper operation ! (A mouse & keyboard still helps) You should be able to connect a rs232 via ribbon cable (available on eBay) somewhere onto the computer pcb assuming that it’s not a laptop ? If you have already installed touch screen drivers then uninstall & start all over again with the screen disconnected ! I believe that the zytronic serial screen will only work up to windows xp. ( but don’t hold me to that) hope that helps ? If it’s not a zytronic screen then sorry I can’t help you
