True story here......

20 years ago my then co-pilot at work borrowed this DVD from me one weekend. He had been single for ages. His weekend stories were never convincing, didn't really hold water, something did not add up, so he became known in the office as Batty Boy (not by me, obvs) or The Bat.

On the Monday a very pretty female colleague told me how she had been traumatised by a DVD over the weekend. Some 70s film called the Wicker Man. She was clearly unaware of the source.

This outed their secret relationship of many months. I kept it schtum. They are still married and now have 2 kids.

Such a great movie. I've avoided the Nic Cage remake, some things are best left alone.

If you like this then I would recommend Midsommar (2019) gives off Wicker Man vibes but still original.

I went a couple of years ago. This and thirteen was as much as I could handle. Nemesis was still open then and we went on it twice back to back as we had fast track tickets. I have no idea how I didn't throw up, it was horrendous. I'm now at the age that a leisurely stroll around the gardens is more my thing.
