Relisted. at £2600. With brand new mansion decal. (Not Fitted)
Will be on ebay this evening if no interest.
Need to move it quickly.

Due to being inundated with offers for the asking price, not just on here. I don't want to fall out with anyone or tread on any ones toes. I put £2200 on here as I really did not know what it would be worth. Maybe should have put open to offers. I realise this is not ebay and is not an auction but maybe I have under priced it. Please forgive me. Open to offers.

Apologies in advance if this upsets somebody but am I missing something here?? Have things got so bad that a player's Addams priced at 2200 is the deal of the century?
Looking at the pics I can see plenty of mansion wear and the usual routed wear that you get on this game. I think 2200 was probably about right for this game in this condition.

The thing that gets me is that we all moan about prices getting silly and then when somebody posts a machine for sale at a reasonable price everybody loses their minds. Now the seller wants more money as he assumes it is worth more! And you have nobody to blame but yourselves! ;)

Again, I don't mean to **** anyone off or ruin the seller's ad. Personally I think his original price was spot on and both seller and buyer would have been very happy. Now somebody is going to have to dig a little deeper no doubt.

Good luck with your sale Ozzie. You clearly won't have any trouble shifting it!

either that or another case of greedy seller (no offence)

I remember in May of this year I passed on a addams family what was In very good condition that was £2100 can't beleave the price have gone up so much

Playing buyers off against each other is essentially an auction....better to set a higher price from the off, then if no-one buys reduce it. Depends how quick you want to sell, bargains get snapped up in minutes, overpriced pins will take much longer and probably won't sell until the price becomes realistic.

Original asking price seemed a fair one to me.
I still can't understand why TAF is such a highly valued machine. There are lots of other less expensive machines out there with more bang for buck. Yes its a great game but so are many more cheaper machines.

For me TAF deserves the higher price compared to others. It was THE machine of my late teens. If a non pinhead comes round it will be the only machine they recognise. Can't see me ever parting with mine. I know there are technically more of them than any other DMD machine but do we see one a month on the bay?

Feeling the love for it at the moment.....

At least one a month. Usually 3 or 4 per month on average though.

Good game, but it's only 4-5 years ago I bought one for £900. £2200 for a worn example isn't a bargain imo

I must have imagined writing a for sale sticky that said all sale items should be priced, pictures need to be supplied as well as location.
If we don't know how much a pin is worth, we can use The "How Much Is This Pin Worth" thread here: http://www.pinballinfo.com/communit...his-table-worth-thread.5286/page-7#post-46198
Saying offers with no price will make some people not bother, other people offer silly low and encourage others to fight. Saying I am looking for say £2400 but may be open for a trade or offers might get you a good sale quickly with no eBay fees and a lot of goodwill and happiness.

I paid £2150 for a ropier one, without the topper and bling parts over a year ago but I know I could have got one cheaper using the forum. Given it's popularity I think that £2200 was a reasonable price though people would have probably paid a bit more if it played well and overall looked good.

Right, I am off to write a sticky.

Before I get shot down in flames I would like to put the record straight. This Addams has been sold to the first person who offered the asking price. I was the person who sold the MM on ebay a few days ago and had the perfect opportunity to shill bid but we are not all bent. I am new to this site and not fully up to speed on what a pinball is worth. I am not into pinballs for a quick buck. I realise its pantomime season so Boooooooooo to you too. :)

WTF is all this? Myself and another on here recommended to Nigel that he sell his machines here instead of Ebay. Hijacking a thread with opinions, what it was worth a few years ago and all that sh*t should be stopped or removed. I had the same with my MB sale and it's annoying.

Nigel has several nice machines for sale and hopefully he'll still put the others on here too, first come first served, without the same pantomime. If he doesn't, blame yourselves.

I would normally agree with you about this 100%. But if you read the thread it would appear that the seller put an asking price, got a lot of interest and then decided he wanted more. That would certainly upset people I'm sure you'll agree.

I am not saying that is what happened by the way. Nigel has come back and said he sold it to the first person that offered the asking price which is fair enough. (And he can do want he wants with his games of course!) I'm just saying that if you read the thread before that update that is how it sounded and that is why it got the reaction it did.

I wish him the best of luck in selling his games.

Then I apologise if I got the wrong end of the stick, I thought you said you offered it here at X but due to lots of people saying yes please, you'd decided to instead sell it for more. It's yours to sell to whoever you like. You can advertise on ten sites at once at different prices if you want. WTF do I care? My mojo is on the way out

While I agree that comments about pricing can be less than helpful to the seller (or buyers sometimes), I'd also say that Ozzie's earlier comment that seemed to say he was revoking the original asking price and suggesting we start bidding against each other was also confusing to those of us interested in buying his machines.

As far as I can see it was this post, openly admitting uncertainty of the price that should be asked for his machine, that opened the door to, if not actively encouraged, any comments that followed about the machines perceived value.

Up until that point the remarks had all been positive encouragement for the sale and the only comment regarding pricing was agreement of the asking price being fair.

OK, can see all that. Hangover grumpiness this morning....

But, as a general observation with for sale ads on here, commenting on people's prices (like in the RBION sale thread), detrimental opinions on condition (both of which are subjective), references to a cheaper price of long ago etc. just don't belong in someone's for sale thread. Other forums don't put up with this kind of thing, why does this one?

From meeting him, Nigel appears a straight up guy and good to see has continued to be so when ultimately selling TAF. I note his ToM is up here too now so hasn't completely been scared off from here....

I agree. I'd suggest if you're not interested in an item for sale then just let it be. If its too much then it won't sell. If it sells then it was worth that much to someone else if not you. If you think its way underpriced then feel free to buy it yourself if no-one else has. :)

I'd suggest theres room for exceptions pointing out misleading/ mistaken advertisement though (e.g advertising a "Mint" table with "No problems" where someone spots damaged playfield and a credit dot or something on the photos). Note: This is definitely NOT the case in Ozzie's adverts. He's gone further than most in providing a plethora of photos, including ones that clearly show up flaws he readily identifies in his ad text.

Anyone who just asks for offers is fair game for the usual non-malicious sarcastic offer posts, and at least one offer of a Shadow though ;) (And then someone can point them at the "How much is this table worth?" thread)

Anyway, Hope all went well with the TAF sale and both sides are happy with the deal :)

Offered for sale again as buyer was collecting Saturday, never turned up or called to say not coming. Will be on ebay later if no interest.
