Addams Family Outhole?

Hello,

I have got my first fault on my Addams Family.

When playing and a ball drains through the flippers, it does not recognise that the ball has gone through, it then searches each bumper until it clears the ball.

Would this be the outhole switch needs replacing?

If so where is the best place to buy one and what do I need?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks
Andy

When it drains does the ball stay sat on the outhole switch (can you see it if you look in the drain)? Or does it get kicked into the trough (and you can't see it)?

The switch may not need replacing. It could just need adjusting, or a wire could have come off. First thing to do is carefully raise the playfield and have a look.

If everything *looks* OK then you can test the switches in the diagnostics to see if registering

Hello, thanks for your replies, the ball just stays in the outhole...

I've checked wires they seem ok, I've tried the test and cannot get the switch to register when pressing all the way down..

Is the outhole switch the only switch that isn't working? Check it in the switch matrix against all other switches in the same row and column ( a wire off another switch could take out a few switches ). Reseat connectors in backbox. Probably don't want to do this last one but sometimes resetting machine to factory default settings can help. Failing all that change the switch.

Hello , thanks so much for your replies. This was perfect. You were right it was another wire on the same row of switches. Bought a soldering iron and fixed it in 10mins.

Thanks so much.
