Sorted the ball trough fault and m/c behaved for several games.Ho ever when ball lock was activated on ball 1 lock the m/c decided to chuck 2 balls into playThis has been a n ongoing fault over all remaining games. On checking the newly installed switches the middle rt switch only beeped infrequently but when flicking the switch diode it beeped every time.Points to a faulty diode but this is a sheathed diode. Can anyone tell me what type of diode this is?Nearly sorted but not quite there.Cheers for any advice forthcoming.

Desoldered 1 end of the diode and tested same read 1 each way so faulty so installed a new diode. Then tried switch again and no beep so took switch off the m/c still wired op and switch beeping every time.Puzzled i examined the switch and realised that i had bent the switch arm too much effectively almost holding the switch button down nearly all the time.So this was the spanner in the works .Straightened the switch arm and the m/c is fine fault gone Strangely diode off the m/c tested 1 and conversley.7 meaning it was o.k.Cheers billy butler.

Glad it works now! Another mistake often made is to tighten the screws holding the switch down too much - this compresses the switch body and locks up the mechanics.
