cabinet: dataeast Star Wars.

Symptom:
Turn in
Light illumination comes on
Slight dmd flash of life then dead
No light show nor toy movement or sounds

After approx 5 min I hear… “ma” then silence
20 seconds later “may th”
Another 20 seconds “may the the fo”
and music plays,
Light show and toys move, dmd on
All as normal.
Can play game or leave on for hours workingmoerfect.
I can Turn it off for 0-1 min and back on and it boots normal.

I don’t know technical things about pinballs, I’m still new, and not got an electronics background.
Anyone had this issue and resolved?

I’m going to make a guess that it’s psu related…?

Could really do with some solid advice.
Thanks

Yep you have an issue on the power board. Probably failing or leaking capacitors - C2 and C7 are the usual culprits .
Not too tricky to change if you have some soldering skills. Or get the board repaired by someone.

Had this very same issue with R&B which was traced exactly to what the sarge said above. ⬆️

Thanks guys
Are there known repairers on here?

I know over on arcade forums certain people deal with monitor repair, others with vector games etc
