3D Printed items

Has anybody tried varnishing any of their prints?

I'm thinking of using a spray varnish to give any glossy effect, but don't know whether it could potentially melt the plastic or even if it would give a decent finish.

Any experiences people have had are welcome to be shared.

I used some funky black/blue filament for the base - which didnt turn out as I expected - infact top almost all blue - except a few bits you can see top right
Still easy to make another maybe with plain black this time - might try some glow in the dark for the logo bit :)

Please could someone kindly print me out a set of these in black (the updated version where they're not identical) there's only 3 parts and they're very small.
Will Paypal f&f for costs & postage. Thanks in advance.

I could do it, however it suggests it needs to be printed with PU95A which is TPU, and unfortunately i dont have any of that in at the moment... I'm sure someone has some to hand 👍

Hi, I've got some black TPU I can get these printed for you.

PM me your details and I'll get them in the post tomorrow.

I've been playing around designing 'print in place' boxes recently, so I decided I should make a box to keep my balls in (stop sniggering!).

Also trying out a new build sheet I got off Aliexpress which gives the print a cool holographic finish.

When @Epotech designed these, my print bed wasn't big enough to allow pip boxes, so had to go with 2 halves and a magnetic closure.

Inspired by Wayne's design, I've modified my box to hold bolts - so my Bond Pin will have it's bolts stored safely when it eventually moves to a new home.
I've used a different funky build plate this time which gives it a carbon fibre effect. I think this is my favourite surface finish so far.
