The most important date in my calendar is Dans "My wife's away so I'm gonna fill my entire house with pinball machines invitational"
that will be going ahead again, and i think i'm gonna be hosting one of the London/SE League meets as well

edit: no i'm not, as my house keeps getting random power cuts

How do you get an invite to that one?

Hoping make both 8BitFlip and NLP in the NW again this year. Given how late the Play Expo 'organisers' seemed to be confirming dates to the NLP guys last year I doubt it's something we'll know details for until nearer the time though.

I should probably start looking at a hotel room for NERG now though... Anyone already booked into anywhere nearby thats both reasonably priced and not a fleapit?

I'd expect the Pinball Party to be in August if it's on this year. Ones I'm going to try and get to this year are:
  • March - 8 bit flip
  • April - Nothing?
  • May - Ely
  • June - Welsh Open hopefully
  • July - NERG
  • August - Pinball Party?
  • September - Nothing?
  • October - NLP?
  • November - Nothing?
  • December - Christmas Cracker?
@cooldan what month are you thinking for your open house?

my shindig will probably be in the 3rd/4th weeks of June and/or the 2nd week in July and/or the 1st/2nd/3rd weeks of August.
it will be an open house with anyone invited who wants to come along tbh

Should my Zeppelin-bourne invitation arrive forthwith, I shall assuredly apply my greatest endevours towards attending this "Totally Inappropriate and NSFW Pinball Extravaganza" of which you all speak with such affection.

More like infection coming from anything to do with Dan lol

Don't forget the non competitive events as well.

11-12 June is Play Expo Glasgow, this will be the first year Play has come up to Glasgow so any fancy a weekend in Scotland's second city will be welcomed.

Shops, cinema and restaurants are all next door for family members who aren't into the hobby.

Revival is pencilled in for mid summer but cant confirm yet. EGX in September will have 15 pins but is more a general gaming show and a chance to break my back!

keep em coming, when i get some more dates - the ones Greg mentioned and all the others (including any European weekend road trips, perhaps?) i will update the first post. then someone can update that calendar thingy up there so we can all use that instead.

Most european road trips go as far as Stanstead airport... it's normally quicker and easier to fly..! Sometimes a lot cheaper as well. Poland for £50 anyone?

Poland 26-29 Feb - European Circuit finals plus 4 other tournaments in the one weekend.
France 2-3 Apr - Le treport - Just a few miles from Brighton. http://flipexpo.fr/ (not going to that one).
Netherlands 20-22 May - Dutch Masters (driving for once) http://www.dutchpinballmasters.nl/
German 27-29 May - German Open (same weekend as Ely).

Dan, that's cool, Dan!

Robot Bash is always 30 Dec.

Some of the others may not happen this year.

Rough dates (based on 2105) if they do happen:

12 Hour High Score Shootout Unlikely
David Mannering's Birthday Tournament April
London Pinball Championship May
UK Pinball Cup - this is at Ely, right? Late May
World Cup Revisited (Part 2) July
UK Pinball Open - is this at the UKPP? late Aug. Has always been at main UK Show
Not Another Birthday Tournament mid Oct
The As Yet Unnamed (Part 2 - Still Unnamed) late Nov
?September - Revival (Birmingham? @steve brum )

A few more foreign
Dutch Open early Nov
Belgian Open early Oct

Cheers
Greg

World Cup Revisited & As Yet Unnamed will both be held at Tilt in Birmingham, if they go ahead. Not sure yet, depends on how quickly the furb comes along and how many machines it ends up with (currently 7 with more promised).

There's also a Monday night league which will be held the last Monday of the month. Only 2 mins from Birmingham New St, and will finish in time for last train. (Well my last train at least at 23:08!)

Northern Lights Pinball (NLP) at the Play Expo event in Manchester, normally in October
Indeed, if your intention is to go to one where its all about the fun of pinball, have a ton of machines to play on and none of the competitive atmosphere, NLP is the one to get to!
