Hi everyone
Some advice please if I may from you lovely lot.
I have a Williams PF game where the display is not working. Machine boots, and goes into attract mode, however display is seemingly deaded.
I have checked the power board and F1 (3/8a) was blown so a quick replacement and blows again as soon as the machine is powered on. I change resistors at R1 and R4 with 39K ohm 1w versions as per Clays guide, but upon switching on the fuse still blows even with the 100v +/- connector disconnected. So my questions:
* Is there a way to test the display to see whether it is blown completely?
* Should I repair the power board with all new HV components? *gulp*
* If all options fail, do I just plump for a new Rottendog/Pinscore Power board? (anyone got one for sale?!?)
What I am trying to avoid is the purchase of a new Power board only to find the display is kaputt.
If I can get the power stuff sorted, I can start a shop log - yay!
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jon
