To boot up my TAF with the playfield out?

I’m guessing not but thought I’d ask before I do anything silly

The playfield is removed but while I’m waiting on parts I’d like to try and install a new dmd and see if it works. Am I alright to do that?

Sorry for the obvious question but you never know!!
