Attached are the people who have qualified for the League Finals to be held at Pinfest, Daventry.

There are still a few people who have not replied, so if they could as soon as possible that will be appreciated, as I'm out of the country for most of August.

Rep the midlands hard for me lads. Had an incredibly unfortunate year and everything that could go wrong went wrong - couldn't make most of the league games... so relying on you guys to smash the competition for me!

what day are the finals taking place? or is it over both days?

Also, what is the format? It is probably on another page somewhere so sorry for being lazy.

UK League Finals to be held in Daventry at the UK Pinfest on Sunday 26th of August.

The format will be:
Each player will be grouped with 2 or 3 other players from another region and will play 5 games in the standard league format.
The top 2 qualifiers will go straight to the final.
The players grouped 3rd to 6th will then play a single 4 player game (chosen by the player qualifying in 3rd place). The top 2 will progress to the Final.
The final 4 will then play 3 x 4 player games, scoring 4,2,1,0
1st game will be picked by person finishing top in the semi
2nd game will be picked by person finishing 2nd in qualifying
Final game will be picked by person finishing 1st in qualifying
Order of play in 1st game in final will be reverse of qualifying order, subsequent games will be the reverse order of previous game.

ANY ties, in qualifying or finals, will be decided by the head to head of the 2 (or more) players in qualification. If this doesn't resolve the tie - a single game including all players will be played.

All games will take place in a dedicated side-room, with 1 machine being chosen by each of the winners of each of the regions. These will be publicised as soon as possible.

The A Finals will take place in the morning, starting at 10am. This should give enough time for the comp to be finished in time for people to attempt to qualify for / and play in the finals of the Open and Classics held later in that afternoon.
The B Finals will take place immediately after, expected to be 1pm.

Could be an issue with anyone in "A" who qualifies in the open though:

Times: The play-offs for the Open will begin at 9am on Sunday 26th August. Play-offs for the Classic are expected to start around 2pm, after the UK Pinball League finals. All players are required to be present at the start of play.

Both Wayne (UK league organiser) and I (open organiser) are aware of the potential clash and will be giving leeway to anyone caught up in this. It is also the reason why the open knockout starts at 9 am, hopefully get the first round out of the way and that might help with reducing the number of people affected...
