Texas Pinball Festival

posted in the Alice Cooper thread.

have to say I can't wait to play it.

Bowen Kerins did an amazing hour long tutorial of TNA and completed the game. Pure theatre meets sport - no one knew if he would complete the game till it happened and he got a standing ovation at the end.

this really was something special.

festival is over and i’m sat waiting for the plane home. a great weekend. good to meet Neil, Mandy and Paul as well as lots of friendly pin heads from all over.

i have lived playing all the games i played, which is a lot!!!!! games i would not have ever looked at. like no fear, congo, gotg, etc. allbrilliant. Junkyard is a really good game. i loved all the older ss machines and of course the EMs.

i had the good fortune to see an owner open up his ordinary looking EM (on the outside) what i saw inside was truly amazing. you could have eaten your meal off the insides. it truly put mine to shame, but inspires me on to betterness - zoom in on this:

You can just see Lou Ferrigno trying to hide behind my nose!!! - They were not keen for anyone to take an unauthorized (i.e. unpaid for photo) - he was selling signed photos for $40 each. if you wanted to do a selfie with him - yep also $40 a pic!

Those for sale prices are killing me
I was amazed - I could have come home with a working EM machine in pretty good shape for $300.
I am tempted to go to the states and buy a load of machines. It costs about £2.5K to ship a full container from USA to UK, door to door. Can probably get 40+ pins in, so about £75 a machine.
