Hand drawn digital artwork backglass to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Terminator 2: Judgment Day the movie and the pinball machine from Williams. Each piece will be numbered. The numbers are going to be printed as part of the artwork permanently. Each glass is 690 x 480 x 4 mm (tempered) - no need for side plastics. You can pick your number. First come, first served. #1 is already reserved. I am posting this on on here first, and I will post on other forums soon. Details on my website: xianek.eu. Highest quality digital print with vibrant colors and extreme contrast. More details soon. 185 EUR + 30 EUR shipping to UK (~ 192 GBP shipped at the time of writing this).

Are these going to be mirrored? Very cool work.

Wow shame I sold the T2.
Are you going to make a mirrored glass version for the Theatre of Magic?

No mirroring. Sorry. I thought about it, but the only part mirrored could be the stroke around the title. Mirroring doesn't let the light through, and here, my intention was that a lot of light passes through in the artwork areas, and very little, or none in the dark areas. Mirroring would make it also unnecessarily more expensive. My final decision was that I don't want to add mirror onto this backglass. Just because it can be done, it doesn't mean it has to be. Just like not every thing needs to be chrome, or gold. If you want or need the mirror, this project isn't aimed at you. I hope you can understand.

You can make loads mirrored ,the saw with light showing through the blades, the balls ,the lightning strokes.

This is were current information about the backglass is going to be, including which numbers are still available:

Key features:
  • Completely original, digitally hand drawn artwork by a talented anonymous artist and perfected by Xianek.
  • The artwork features T-1000, who was not on the original translite as it was considered a movie spoiler at the time the movie and the pinball machines were released in 1991.
  • Detailed background with skulls and destroyed Los Angeles as depicted in the first five minutes of the movie.
  • Very detailed drawings of endoskeleton and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
  • The artwork was arranged in a way to take advantage of the lamp and flasher locations on the backbox’s lamp board.
  • Only 30 pieces of the 30th anniversary limited edition will ever be made worldwide with each number permanently embedded into the artwork at the time of print.
  • The backglass features translucent red eyes on endoskeletons and T-800.
  • The contrasts are at maximum, meaning black is black and does not pass the light through.
  • Highest quality digital print on crystal clear 690 x 480 x 4 mm tempered glass with machine seamed edges.

For those who are not familiar with me or my work: I have made a number of successful translites and backglasses, often featuring large complex black masks. I am enclosing some pictures below to showcase some of the details. When I get the first T2 Limited Edition made (1/30), I will post pictures here as well. In the meantime, I am posting pictures of some of my other works.

Any pictures of one fitted in the bb without the side trims and lights on?
I have 2 mirrored for TAF & TZ which has a thin 1mm light bleed by side trims as trim doesn’t quite cover the clear glass at the edge.

This is a different backglass, but it is of the same size with the artwork printed to the edge.
"as trim doesn’t quite cover the clear glass at the edge" -- for that exact reason I do it better :)

The speaker panel was completely vectorised and the colors were adjusted for grays with some red. The width is exactly the same as the backglass. 690 x 190 x 2 mm. It is high quality clear polycarbonate. It is fully blackmasked. It surpasses the quality of the original. Here are some pictures of the product. The glass cleaner is here to show the reflection only.

Nice what’s the going rate for one of those?
Join my Slack Club on my website for a full product catalog and a price list. The speaker panel is 50 EUR.
Generally I offer high quality products at very reasonable prices. The reason I can do that is because I manufacture in Poland, where as you know, the cost of labor (labour) and material is less expensive. BTW: I speak and write in US English.

Wow shame I sold the T2.
Are you going to make a mirrored glass version for the Theatre of Magic?
I have 4 versions of the ToM and none are mirrored :) 1) Improved original with black mask, 2) Improved original with black mask and slight anaglyph 3D, 3) Improved original with black mask with open blouse and visible bra and nipples, 4) Improved original with black mask with open blouse and visible bra and nipples and slight anaglyph 3D... All surpass the quality of the original. Notice that the drawing has a unique style to it that most people perceive as imperfect.

This is T2 Limited Edition thread, but I get questions about TOM... Here's what it looks like in the machine.

Looks cool!

The only thing that's puts me off is the light flashes from the hunter killer. They are not as graduated as the original and for some reason I see two sets of boobs :hmm:

It looks like UK might be a difficult market for me to enter. I gave you a proper T2 translite on glass featuring T-1000 instead of two Arnolds, something people longed for, for about 30 years, and the only thing you've noticed is the lack of mirror effect. So, far, I've not sold one here. How about just a mirror then in the exact same size as the backglass? 🤣

Nice! With the search lights toned down can you not make the HKs more visible? Those top left and right areas just look so empty.

Xianek T2 V1K.jpg

This is V1K. There was an error in V1G in the right hunter ship. It wasn't fully painted. Now it's corrected along with some other details. Now, who can see the devil's horns?
