Tape for side rails

I am shortly going to remove the side rails of an RFM. Does anyone use a specific double sided tape when reinstalling or will any old generic brand do?

I haven't removed the rails yet but I guess whatever double sided tape I use should be not too thick so as the rails fit closely to to the cabinet.

I bought 3M stuff on Ebay, used for sticking car parts on etc

The original stuff is a thin foam tape, but I used some double sided tape from b&q that was thin like cellotape
