System 11 Backbox Lock Help

I am fitting a system 11 lock on my Taxi. When I bought Taxi it had none of the backbox lock mechanism parts but have since sourced new and used parts and having issues getting it all set up correctly.

The only configuration I have managed to get to work is when the lock thinks its in the open state (i.e. you can remove the key from the barrel) but the bar is in the raised closed position therefore I would need to leave the keys in to stop the back glass from sliding out), I have flipped things around including the position of the barrel in the end plate and the cam but no joy, spent approx 1hr last night on it too.

Anyone encountered a similar situation, spot any mistakes in the photos?

The lock is a new one from Phil or Andy, can I prise off the end of the barrel to change the open and close states?

I was also thinking moving the back box endplate 45 degrees see if that would work but I thought I'd best check there isn't a better solution first or verify any mistakes.

Regards
Chris

It’s a pain in the **** that mechanism. I removed mine for home use. Could never get it quite right….

Had the exact same problem on my ES restore (lock from pinparts.co.uk), only way the mech would work is with the key locked in the locked position. Can't remember how I fixed it.

Flip the end bit off and turn it 90degrees so that the open and closed positions are reversed.

Yup I would do the same but using it for shows and have a mirrored backglass the original got cracked coming back from Play Expo. It's a horrible design.
