pinball palace sell new white star cpus for 250 but check it fits your machine as there are a few different types plus you will need the pal chip and game rom

Not many people with a spare Whitestar board I'm afraid - the original revisions especially, although the audio-chip-emulation revisions are also undersupplied. Rare as rocking-horse refuse, comparatively speaking.
If you can find anyone prepared to part with one you're absolutely looking at 400 minimum for a working one. Less than that and you should assume it has real problems.

Ahhh...very true...we had five originals.(nos). All gone now i am afraid.....they are remade in batches....but very rarely these days....
you need a whitestar modified one for rbion I think. The rottendog ones are the std one
I can take a photo of my one if you like..
If that’s your own board get an nvram fitted and get those batteries out!
100% - hard to find board with a stupid battery location.
Nice, thin traces going underneath chips and sockets, all directly below the batteries.

It has lithium batteries fitted. Although I should get round to fitting a remote battery holder too. I take it LOTR has a similar board?

What I will say was the previous owner had Duracell’s 2 years out of date fitted!
Was glad to get them out!
Par for course - at least it was Duracells!
