Stern node board 8. 520-7017-72 Diagnosing

Any pointers on diagnosing a node 8 board (part no. 520-7017-72) not being seen at start up.

is it just a case of checking for 48v etc and then buy a new one ? Been on site for 24 hours (Aerosmith pro, owned since 2017 but only went onsite Friday)

shows as node board 8 not found.
is there logic in swapping the node 8 and node 9 around to see if the problem moves or am I introducing more risk? Stern service bulletins 189 & 190 were both applied a few years ago...

I swapped both 8 s to prove board 9 fault and it solved issue for me ... proved board 9 was dud to me so swapping does work .

Yes, you can swap them, just remember to change the address on them.
