hello guys literally haven't posted on hear in ages,
i did eventually get my hands on a the machine bride of pinbot
restore all going well just finished swapping over a a brand new play field
plugged it all back in and all work's great
then i notice one of the jet bumpers/pop bummers isn't working.....
oh yes he did!
poked the switch with a screwdriver like any old noob dose!
and yep the switch operates the bumper fine, so switch needs some work
but to double check i poked it again and shorted the switch with the solenoid like a goof!!!!!!

nice pop later and turned it off and on again i get the massage '' check fuse 114 and 115 ''

check fuses 114 and 115, and 115 has blown ...

i replace the fuse and now the fun begins...

the head wont calibrate and the keeps firring solenoids in it,
wont let a game begin,
randomly fires solinoids...

my questions are...
have i cooked the mpu089 board completely?
wheres my first place to check the mpu board?

should be be checking other things out...

any help would be great as im a total noob realy

cheers oliver

Hi Oliver i should think you have blown U20 on the cpu board (from memory its a ULN2803) if your lucky it may only be that and if your really lucky the chi may be socketed

I remember Lowering my old JD playfield down with a wrong way round plunger coil in and I to put 50volts in the switch matrix ,think it took out two chips
