Odd TAF encounter....

Had a service visit booked for a TAF.
Thing kickout was a bit poor so checked and the solenoid assembly was coming loose. Okay, but why was the assembly sprayed Gold - see pics!

Fab! Painted myself Blue to be a Smurf in a fun run. Not much fun though as my skin couldn't breathe

Looks like the same colour paint my mate used on his Ford escort Mk 2 when he had just past his driving test all them years ago !

Bet this pin spent some time at a car garage like the ones you see on eBay

It had been sprayed in-situ. The rubber grommit was Gold. Just very odd.

Also, the mains toggle switch was inside the power box. Odd again.
