Looking for tips to remove stubborn clips!!

It looks like they're plastic (assuming it's the white clips you're talking about?) a hairdryer on them to warm them should make them less brittle and easier to remove.
 
Use cutters to cut the metal retainers. Cut towards centre radially in line with the other cuts.

I googled this not so long back. Found info on pinside.
I think the jist of it is you have to cut the clips off as you run the risk of snapping the post.
Try using a good pair of side cutters.

Post how you get on as I’ve got to attempt this soon, good luck 🤞
 
Thanks for the link (clips on the way).

A couple of lessons I've learned:

Some of the clips still needed lifting on one edge to cut them.

The hardest to get to clips can be left in place and still remove the plastic.

Slide a small screwdriver or blade into a split to bend a tab away from the post.
