Hi guys,

Does anyone know anything about Jukeboxes? Or know if there is anyone in the Midlands are who can fix/service them?

I have a Sound Leisure Superstars 2160 wall mounted jukebox, which has I've had for years without any problems. However, it has started not playing CD's - at first, I thought it might be a dirty laser but I've tried a cleaner, and it hasn't helped. Sometimes it doesn't even spin the disc when it is trying to play - even though the mechanism spins freely.

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Many thanks, Mark

Sorry to jump on this thread but my mate is also after some help but in the South West (Warminster).

He has a NSM Nostalgia CD juke with a CD stuck. Can't find any info online so he is looking to get this an an Emerald Ice serviced.

From my experience, laser heads only last so long before they need reconditioning.

If cleaning the glass eye doesn't work, your best bet would be to send the laser head off to a specialist who would service it.

Been a while since I've done this, but last time cost about £70.

Where's it stuck?

Wasn't Jamie B selling a load of these jukeboxes off not long ago ?
Could be a cheaper option than getting it repaired. Pretty sure Jamie will have a load of these knocking around anyway.
Give him a shout on the Yahoo group.

Thanks Mark, the jukebox I have is really nice condition so would probably prefer to stick with it if I can. Do you know anywhere that does that type of servicing?
Cheers, Mark

Again check with Jamie, if anyone know much about them he's your man.

If that doesn't work out, I've used Sound Sense Electronics several times in the past. I used to drive up to Ferrybridge and they would mend the parts while you wait in about an hour or so. It's been quite a few years since I've used them though, not sure if it's the same set up now.

I believe Doug who owns the company worked for Sound Leisure in the CD jukebox years and designed some of the PCBs.
