Anyone ever had any issues with TanglesTech smart eddy?
I have 2 installed in the drain lanes on my ToM. Been fine for months with no issues.
Started getting a right drain eddy switch error in test report.
Tested in switch tests and right drain eddy was showing as being on all the time.
Checked under playfield and red LED on board was constantly on. Troubleshooting guide in manual said issue was detection coil not connected or detection coil bad.
In true “try the basic stuff first” style I disconnected and reconnected the detection coil connector to the board a few times. Red LED went off.
Now the eddy seems to be super sensitive and the magnet kicks in when the ball is quite a distance from it - like a good few inches away. These things are supposed to calibrate themselves so I’m hoping over time it will sort itself out.
Just wondering if anyone has had any/similar issues?
