Halifax - Blast from the past

I visited Blast From the Past yesterday. It was fabulous. Current line up is

Humpty Dumpty from 1947 first ever machine with flippers.
Apollo
Captain Fantastic
Gorgar
Blackout
Black Knight

Plus there are about 7 or 8 video arcades and several consoles.

It's £5 an hour to play. It was quiet for some of the time I was there but became very busy by the time I left. Many kids enjoying the pinballls with their parents which was lovely to see and clearly lots of regulars.

The machines were all immaculately presented and all worked (except upper left flipper on Capt Fantastic but it remained playable and at least I couldn't get scissored.

It's located at Piece Hall which is a lovely place for shopping. It is a gorgeous building which is worth visiting just for the architecture and history. I had left my wife elsewhere at an event she wanted to go to and when she saw where I had been she wants to go there so next time I can play whilst she shops. Happy times.

I chatted with Ryan the owner who is on pinballinfo. Complete pinball enthusiast as nutty about them as we all are.

It was amazing to see older machines on location in a lovely location. 5 stars all round.
