Can't see it being anything to bad , sounds like the classic BR1 , which is pennys to replace as long as you can do a little board work.
Bang for buck its a great game, fast and some great shots to make. Others will disagree but everyone has there own take on any machine.
Go for it , you won't regret the game play on a Demo Man.

BR's always get the blame but in truth there are a whole host of reasons for game resets and you need to work through this lot first:

One not in that list that I found was a DMD that was on it's way out that caused resets...

Main thing is none of the common reset issues are expensive to fix.
