Factory Settings Restored but Date / Time remembered.

Hi Guys,

Need a little help. If I unplug my AFM the next time I plug it in and turn it on I get the notorious "Factory Settings Restored" message. But the date & time are fine!?

To be clear I'm just losing game settings but the date / time stay present and correct.

Replaced batteries and visually checked holder looks ok.

Also just checked voltages at U8 and I'm getting 4.40 with the game off. The manual states that is correct.

The manual says that the LED's should indicate should there be a RAM issue but the LED's are not suggesting there is any issue. Voltage confirmed at U8 to be correct with game off.

The thing i find weird is that the clock / date settings are not forgotten.

No the board looks very clean I forgot to mention that I checked that.

The manual also states to check diodes D1 and D2 on the CPU board but I’m not sure how to do that with my multimeter if someone can advise?

Read lead on banded side black lead other side should be no reading, swap the leads should read 4 to 500 in diode mode or continuity depending on meter, if they are short it will ring
