European Pinball Championships 2022

I went out last night in the 2nd round of the playoffs for the classics ...

Was absolutely knackered

Qualified for classics between 12:00 and 15:00 then playoffs didn't start till after midnight, because of delays...

Then the player I was with tilted through so got DQ'd on that machine putting me 2-0 up but his mate tried to bully me and say I tilted it but some others stood up for me... But it put me off and I lost my bottle

Fantastic spectacle. To be able to watch some of these amazing Euro players over the internet is such a joy, and there were some incredible matchups during finals. Johannes and Ed's playoff was incredible.
Well done to the UK guys for representing us so well, and Craig especially for the knowledge and insight on commentary. Brilliant stuff.

It's been a fantastic event, Christian is a true machine running an event like that, absolutely amazing.

Unfortunately we didn't have any British winners. I made it down to the last 8 in Classics which was great and unfortunately was paired with Johannes Ostermeier in the main tournament first thing this morning in the round of 48. I played well, but he was just too good.

Andy, Kirk, Peter and Jeremy all went out in either the round of 32 or 64 in Main and Classics. Was great to have so many Brits in the mix on finals day. Loved getting involved with commentary again. Super pleased for Arvid, he played amazing amazingly well

Well done everyone for qualifying. Looked an amazing comp and the final 4 were just incredible.

Loved your commentary Craig, really added to the enjoyment. Just finished watching the final as couldn't take it all in, in one day.

For those interested, this weekend is the EPC in Boras, Sweden. There are to be 256 players in attendance including a hand full of us Brits. The EPC is one of only 3 current tournaments with Major status still going on the annual pinball calendar (think like tennis), the others being The Open World Championships and the IFPA World Championships.

Tim is planning on doing Fantasy Pinball again like he did for the UK Open. I will post the link here once he releases the signup, it will be a quick turnaround so get your teams in!

Info on the tournament can be found at https://www.europinball.org/index.php

There will be streaming of the event at https://twitch.tv/inkandmos and brackets will also be at https://matchplay.events/live

Things kick off on Thursday and Friday with pre tournaments and also the team tournament.

We haven’t organised anything yet, but hopefully we will be able to put together a strong British team for the Friday night tournament, maybe those interested in being part of the team could say if they are keen here. @PUP @Moonraker @Neil McRae @Tilt_Birmingham @DanLewell @Jem @Kate Rothwell-Jackson (Kate I’ve tagged you as I’m not sure if Jim is on here, but maybe he fancies it?). I might have missed someone? Depending on numbers we may be able to put 2 British teams in, obviously if people are keen and if there is space (max 16 teams). Teams will be based on IFPA rank and availability. We have good history in the team tournament in Sweden, I’m sure Pete will post the pic 😉

Anyway, looking forward to it!
Sorry i'm waayy late to reading this message, apologies Craig, I probably only visit the forum about once per month these days! You can always get me on FB messenger or whatsapp or carrier pigeon etc though. Glad it all worked out in the end!
