Did some work on my wife’s car that I bought new in 2009, 175k miles and never goes wrong so keeping it going until it falls to bits.
OSR brakes seizing and getting warm, not smelling yet if you know what I mean but you could see one side of the disc was also very pitted/rough.

New discs, pads and a calliper etc. All original parts on the cheap though, £170.

Got to the last bolt and realised I had put the banjo bolt for the brake pipe in the wrong place🤢
Bro-in-laws garage is in the middle of nowhere near the Presseli mountains, luckily I know the guys at a Toyota dealership and one of the mechanics has a used one in his toolbox so borrowed a van drove about 30 miles to pick it up and save the day and still saved a few quid😮‍💨

That is one nice garage and set of tools! The thing of dreams when you’ve done all your car maintenance on the drive like me 😍😎👍🏻

Yeah, he was my mate at school and started being a mechanic at 16. He used to help me with my cars on the council estate in London in the 80’s, we changed out a V8 engine and gearbox on a Rover P6 kerbside amongst other things in our teens. Happy days 😎

Don't you need a tool for everything? He does😂
That garage is next to his house, very handy😁

Reminds me of my younger days... lost count of the number of Grenada, Escort Mk1&2 and cortina engines we changed on the road and on mates driveways!
Those were the days!

It’s what we did back in the day, what are those cars worth now😵‍💫
My first car was a 2 door MK3 Cortina with Wolfrace alloys, reg no. OMO 208L. Paid £500 in 1984, would be worth loads today. Crashed it a few times😂

Fair play to you Jim, that’s not for the faint hearted and on the floor!
