Not come across this before! Not sure how to rectify, thought about went sanding it smooth but on a 1980 pin I don’t know, might be tricky around inserts etc,

That's one way to protect the PF. Really no idea, but I often feel that trying to fix stuff like that, you can often make things worse.

That was my feeling Mike, to be fair the brush strokes are not deep, might try a small area once I strip the pf with fine grit wet and dry

I'd go with magic eraser first before breaking out the wet and dry. It'll give you more control and things will potentially go wrong slower so you'll be able to spot it 👍

Yes I have come across this and I used a Stanley blade to get it off , but I was lucky because the playfield looked dirty before they had varnished it 9966E8AF-559D-4AEF-8E1F-345612AB9EE0.jpegFE0BA855-8E5F-4E2F-B5CE-4831D5FF99CD.jpegB0464EF9-0093-4124-868D-C29B2D1D79C4.jpegI did catch the playfield in a few places but it was the only way I could get it off

my star trek, has had this done as well in places at some point in its life,it does protect the artwork, but looks crap if you look too close

Yep ! it was for me too ,I tryed everything I could think of . I decided if that didn’t work then I was going to have to re-theme the machine as my cabinet has also been repainted .
