Brass flipper coil sleeves

Out of boredom decided to start shopping my BSD, and when I stripped the flippers it has brass coil sleeves. Never seen these before. Were these standard on a BSD ???

They were used quite a lot on old E/M's, but don't know about modern mchines.

Wouldn’t have thought so. Probably came with the replacement coil that you’ve taken out.

Seen them on EM's and early solid state before but never a 90's game.

nope, me neither standard coil sleeves going back in!

Found some in either hook or DW, replaced with plastics.

Always suspicious when I find these in coils , as it helps stop the coil collapsing in on it self , so if you cannot slide the proper coil sleeve in easily ,then that means the coil is on the way out .

Thanks for the info, I remember struggling with one coil sleeve, and now I know why. ( But which one!!)
