Does anyone have any Arcade 1Up machines? I quite fancy a Dragons Lair but have heard very mixed things about them. What do you guys think of them?
There ok, the sticks/ buttons are a bit rubbish, but these can be changed if you desire. Played turtles and some display models, mortal Kombat, street fighter.Does anyone have any Arcade 1Up machines? I quite fancy a Dragons Lair but have heard very mixed things about them. Hey mate ... they definitely fill a gap , so DL for example it scratches the itch at a very low lay out , and also it works all the time can't imagine the stress of keeping a DL running and it has the bonus of having space ace and DL2 as well .
The lCD score bit on DL is a nice touch as well and I reckon the more titles they do the better they will get.
Another way I would describe 1up is like having a fake Rolex or Changing the badge on the back of your car , you know and feel a bit dirty but no one else does
You can buy my DL if you want it's served it's time , as in it's been in my collection for two months , what's app me if you want it
Found some random pics on the phone
With the swap of a Sony Lasermax and conversion card they're OK. I couldn't get past a LCD in a cabinet myself, I'd swap in a old TV CRT.can't imagine the stress of keeping a DL running and it has the bonus of having space ace and DL2 as well .
And there's dexter now as well to replace the Laserdsic player. With the swap of a Sony Lasermax and conversion card they're OK. I couldn't get past a LCD in a cabinet myself, I'd swap in a old TV CRT.
Roadblasters upright too, a fun title!
No worries AndyCheers Will, I'll give you a buzz soon mate
I’d strongly advise against these.
Controls are ****, LCDs look terrible with old games, and these have horrible lag. If you actually want to play the games seriously, look elsewhere. For a 5 minute blast for a casual they might be alright I guess.
It’s not quite vpin v real game but it is the arcade equivalent.
My advise would be to get a Jamma cab and mame / MiSTer it. I have a Jamma cab I bought in the 90s. Apart from a monitor service about 20 years ago, it’s never missed a beat and probably gets played every other day at least.
