Apollo 13 for sale, very much an as-is machine with the following issues:
1) Wood damage (some of the top layer missing) to the back, right in the
middle where someone has presumably dragged it - cosmetic rather than
structural but it's not pretty.
2) Wood damage to the back where the rear right leg fits - the top layer
of ply has gone, making the leg fitting a bit wonky unless you put
something in the gap like folded card or a strip of mouse mat.
Additionally one of the threads on that corner is stripped and will need a
new leg plate.
3) It needs cleaning - it's not absolutely filthy but some of the metal
parts need a polish and rubbers won't go amiss.
4) Some of the blue covering on the wireforms is missing in a few places,
but generally presentable.
5) Backboard latch missing. It stays where it is when the machine is set
up, but slips open and rests on the translite if you fold it down.
Amazingly doesn't appear to have damaged the translite.
6) Some flaking and rust on the lockdown bar and side rails.
7) The needle end of the rocket toy is missing.
8) It's currently sat on correct legs (Stern length), but comes with a set
of Williams length ones - which are a little shorter. Jack up the leg
levellers and it won't be that obvious.
That's all the issues that I'm aware of, I have not picked over it with a
fine tooth comb yet, those were just things I noticed when it arrived
(along with a burned out GI connector which has been fixed). Plays really
well, everything seems to work including the magnet and 13 ball feature,
although I haven't run it through a flasher test so some of those may be
out.
I paid 1050 for it, but obviously none of the above was mentioned,
including the wood damage and stripped plate. As a result I'm taking a
hit again - 850 if anyone wants a cheap A13.
