This didn't come up in a search of forum - just a quick query.
I think I've tracked down a rogue 40097 that's stopping my Zac Future World from going into settings mode.
Looks like a CMOS 4503 may be a replacement for a 40097 which is proving elusive. Can anyone confirm /deny? Thx in advance. BF

No 40097s on ebay that I can see - but the data sheets indicate that 4503 is pretty similar - wondered if anyone had swapped successfully..

Beg your pardon! I did search - no idea why they didn't come up. Thanks for the spot. Gone with the replacements as a ton cheaper - appreciate the shout though. Fingers crossed that's the reason the Zac is refusing to go! Cheers all.

Thanks guys. Seems a fine replacement. Machine exhibits same fault once replaced, so obviously hasn't made any worse! :) still troubleshooting!
