My tz came with three of the wretched new rottendog boards. The seller also gave me the original bally boards which he said worked

The rottendog flipper board packed up, so I swapped in the original and it has worked faultlessly since

Having had periodic 5v issues with the rottendog driver board, i today swapped it over for the original bally board. The rottendog suffered 5v voltage drop of 0.08v whereas the bally only 0.03v. So i would like to reuse this bally board if i can

You can play games and everything seems to work apart from 6 of the solenoids/ flashers. The faulty ones are

18 Power Payoff flasher
19 is ok
20 is ok
21 left magnet
22 not used
23 lower right magnet
24 is ok
25 left mini magnet
26 right mini magnet
27 left ramp diverter

Now these are kind of grouped together and spread across voltage connections j125 and j124. But other solenoids/flashers on these two connectors do work

Does anyone have ideas where to look for the fault please ?

Thanks

It's nothing to do with the extra board at the top right corner of the backbox is it ?
Wasn't it added because of the sheer amount of stuff on TZ and they couldn't fit everything on a standard power board ?

Sussed it. The manual was wrong. Tz if a fliptronic game. The manual says that fuses f101 and f102 are not used, which made sense to me. There were no fuses in these two holders.

However, on closer inspection i could see that these troublesome solenoids were powered by these fuses. Inserted fuses into the gaps and that cured it.

I have narrowed the problem down to 1 dead circuit now. It is a board not wiring problem, as manually grounding the connector fired the flashers.. Both the tip 102 and the 2n5401 have been replaced before, so someone has already had a go at this.

Anyway, now just a small problem
