The newton ball mod from Mezel is very good and pretty straightforward to fit.
However looks a bit crap if there is a massive bash toy of the main character missing off the playfield.
So after searching around for something relevant to fit .. I admitted defeat and returned to original wolverine whose lower abdomen had been destroyed!
The belt protector doesn’t really do its job satisfactorily
So cut him off just above the waist, as with the extra height it interferes with the glass.
The tricky bit is fixing him to a flat surface above the newton arrangement.
The old leaf switch support that sits inside the model was cut and the four holes line up perfectly so fitted threaded rod in the top of the front two posts with thread lock.
Positioned the bracket so the back holes can line up with the posts.
Filled the model with no nails and allowed to set for 72 hours with the bracket in place.
It does add quite a bit of weight.
Put it all back together and now to see how long it lasts in the wild before I do the next one
The mod cost $179 but a new wolverine is £220 if you can find one and can crack on the first ball !
