Well after working ok for a fortnight this Diner board has thrown a wobbley. Switched it on and i got U54 pia fault. U54 is socketed so i try 2 new 6821's and its still the same. Ok so it can be one of the associated components but i've replaced a lot of these as the board had numerous faults when i got it. Its not the eproms as they're in another board working fine.
Using clays & pinwiki guide i've checked the chips on my fluke in diode test and they all seem ok. Any ideas
Update. With whirlwind eproms installed on the bench i just switched it on and it started working. After a couple of mins i switch it off, wait a minute and switch it back on. Now instead of 7 flashes the diagnostic led is a steady flash on/off.
