Wiring Help Wanted Please

Hi Guys,

I bought a lovely sign from a junk shop and am trying to wire it up but would appreciate a little help if anybody would be capable please?

There are two words Bar & Food

There is a 11 core (all numbered) wire feeding the whole sign.

Numbers 1-5 feed B of Bar
Numbers 6-10 feed F of Food
Number 11 seems not to come out so probably was just an unused core ie they only needed 10 cores of an 11 core cable.

Then a 4 core (Black, Red, Yellow & Orange) loops between the following letters.


Once I figure out B & F, the rest follows suit. For instance:-
B in BAR has cores 1-5 going in, they connect to a 4 core which loops throughout B's bulbs.
Then that 4 cores goes out as a feed to A.

A just has 4 core in and a 4 core out to R.

R just has a 4 core in. And so once I figure out B's 1-5, things should follow on.

I presume the 4 cores are:-
Live, Earth, Neutral & Switched(or permenant) Live.

So to test without a switch ie using a plug, if I find and connect the numbered earths to plug earth. Then the numbered wires to neutral to plug neutral, I could just connect all lives to plug live?
