Wires between outlet?

Hi,

Doing a bit of cleaning and notice that something seems to missing from Congo.

See the picture attached.

What goes between the two red wires? It is where the power lead connects in the back of the game, but at the bottom right of the cab.

Could be what was for other countries voltages that someone has cut off
 
Looks like a varistor. It shorts out to protect the machine if you get a voltage surge.
It will work fine without.

This is not standard to a congo.

The filter is usually in the box that contains the mains switch near the front of the cabinet.

You need to get rid of those red wires and put a sleeve boot over the solder connections as you could get a serious shock of those.

Possibly but I don't recognise it as such.

It will look like this. They typically had a woven sleeve up the legs like the bits that are left.
