hello guys and welcome to my little shop log, (please excuse my poor spelling, I was the kid at the back of the class playing with his nose!)
This was my first machine and I was super exited to get her done so I didn't take too many pictures of the progress but I do have a few before and after shots and a couple in between..

ok so I picked this machine up from London about 6 months ago! I was very exited to get her home and set up!
here she is in my living room :thumbs:

after getting her home I went online and started buying stuff!
first was a nova polish set, rubbers, LED's and I was off!
striped the play field down as much as I dare cleaned her up and fitted the LED's!

now that i had cleaned her up I wasn't too pleased with the playfield touch ups and it was starting to laminate a little so I decided to replace the play field with a nice new Dimond plate play field from buthamburg.denet
this was a long prosses but well worth it to me!
here's a few pictures of the old playfield

and in the mean time I bought a few different colour led's to play around with settling on some purple GI led's

here's a few current pictures for you guys with the new play field and leds! :D:clap::popcorn:

ok now where all up to speed with current progress on this machine id like to post a question to everyone that's made it this far.

Here are some pictures of the current state of the cabinet.....

I bought a full decal set to put over this after fixing all the gouges, scrapes and poor touch-ups!
or should I try to find a stencil or something to paint?
I'm not good with a paint brush and I wouldn't trust myself to get this anywhere near right to be honest....

should I just go ahead with my play of making the cab smooth and scrape free and apply the decals over the top....???
or should I get this done with a stencil or something ???

thankyou for reading this far guys!!
Oliver

Hi Oliver, looks great i would sand the art off with an orbital sander then fill spray the cab black and use the decals you have purchased

What he said ^^^^ the cab needs to be ultra smooth and flaw free else you will see every imperfection through the decals

Nice work mate. BoP was my first machine in 2010. It had a trashed playfield and I was waiting for the Buthemberg Playfields to be reproduced. Good job I didn’t as they’ve not lint come out!!

@Clioryder that playfield looks great. You've done a great job.
Have one on order for mine.

I'm in the same position as you as my cabinet and backbox are in pretty bad condition.
Having the new playfield make you want to finish off.
