In Progress Will I ever enter - The Twilight Zone

OK, pins are counted counter clockwise from the dot on the top, so that is pin 15, i.e. D5. I don't have a lose CPU to follow the layout but if you want to check you could measure continuity from pin 15 U7 to pin 19 on the header going to the PDB, then remove the cable and see if that is open then. Was the right pop stuck on?
Yes the right pop was stuck on and at least one switch row was shorted to ground.

I had a replacement en route, will see about getting this one repaired.

OK, so D5 indeed. Was it row 6? Happy to take a look at the CPU, shouldn't be too difficult...

So bit more progress now I've got over the issue with the CPU board. Replaced all the bulbs with LED's I've have sat here for ages, having been out of the hobby for a little while these are the first LED's I've used and I'm amazed at how many different colour and types there are, they do look good although they are a differnt colour temperature to the old incandecant bulbs.

Attached all the loose boards that I had roughly wired up under the playfield, attached the two wireforms, fitted two flippers, sanded and repainted the backbox lightsboard and refitted.

Little more progress, fitted remaining flipper bats, jet bumper caps and an After Glow board. Sanded and repainted the channel that holds the display assembly.

Also moved all the hardware over from the old mini playfield to the new. Needs a couple of LED's before refitting.

So most of the work has been completed now, mini playfield rebuilt and attached.

One of the few things left to sort out is the ball trough, when checking through the switch tests its reporting the switches in the location shown below which I would think is wrong. All the switches are attached to a plate and not been removed, plus when I add balls it does not attempt to feed ball 5 onwards into the auto launcher and into the gumball. Any ideas?

Cabled wrong? Check cable colors on the various plugs and connectors vs the switch matrix in the manual.

Sorry to butt in, but since this game uses more than three balls (even if the additional ones 4 to 6 are usually stowed in the Gumball), it had four switches in the trough. Going by the manual, besides the three regular switches, there's also a switch "Trough Far Left, No. 2,5". Having that persistently closed when 4 balls are in the trough is the trigger for re-loading the Gumball. As with Dracula, where the 4th switch is required to show that a Mist multiball is over, and to re-load the Mist feature.

It does seem that the Left, Centre and Right switches are wrongly ordered. From left to right, the outhole/trough switches should be 1,8 Outhole/2,5 Trough Far Left/1,7 Left Trough/1,6 Centre Trough/1,5 Right Trough, with 2,6 Trough Proximity watching for the ceramic ball being the next up.
