What is this thing?

I am trying to fit some mirror blades, and this thing is in the way. Anyone know what it is?


It is stuck on the inside of the cabinet of a Metallica, about 6 inches away from the flipper switch

You can see it on this photo on the right

I had the same on my Tron, again in the way for mirror blades, I just moved them....

I've seen those too, no idea what they are. Someone must know?

They're used to align the pf in the cab. There's one on each side so when you put the pf down it centres on them. I've only ever seen them on modern Sterns.

Thanks ronsplooter - that makes sense. Only one of them was in the way of the side mirrors, and it must be about half an inch higher than the other. Strange.
