Ha ha. Sorry dude. I'm not much help. I don't know what that does. Is it wired up?

That's the emergency button - only press if a CPR Hammer of the Gods conversion kit is within the vicinity.

What colour are the wires? If they are Red and Yellow/Red it's the Test Switch but mounting looks a bit strange.

I'll be playing one later this eve I'll press it and see what it does :)

its got 2 white wires with red bands
and 1 white wire with a blue band
pressed mine and the mrs wont shut up ;)

I've found it in the playfield schematic it's the 'Reset Button for Vector Scan Record'

Is that the display in the middle of the playfield? I've never played one but will be rectifying that this very eve at @Nedreud whom I'm sure can brief you on this feature.

When you hit the left ramp it records a speed (your Vector Scan) for how fast the ball is travelling and the game stores the fastest like a high score. I guess this button allows you t reset the score.

Allows operators to quickly reset the vectorsscan record onsite. I guess there's a practical limit as to the fastest recorded time. The perfect shot, straight up the middle, ball connecting perfectly on the flipper sweet spot on a full power hit. Once set no else would then be able to set an new record to earn a reward.

The only time I ever managed a record Vectorscan was at butlins, Pwllheli. I thought until just now that it was due to a new flipper coil having just been fitted, but maybe the tech had pressed the button as well.

Going slightly off-topic, Elektra also has one of these push-button switches fitted under the playfield. In that case, it energises the additional under-playfield relay selecting the flipper circuits, in order to check the small flippers on the recessed inner playfield.

After i rebuilt the lower flippers with full rebuild kits, i had to detune the right lower flipper on my vector to give it sensible power.

Vector has a reputation for destroying the entry to the vectorscan ramp, where the various posts are

So if your game struggles, it should be easily enough fixed with a mixture of cleaning the playfield, full flipper rebuild (bushing, sleeve, eos, pawl, plunger), cleaning or replacing the flipper cab switches, and finally a new coil if need be
