What are these wires for?

Having just got a Tommy home, I lifted the playfield and strangely enough there are a bunch of wires and a disconnected connector!

Odd thing is its by the subwoofer, the cable wires would indicate 'flashers' maybe, but there is also a hole in the side of the cabinet right next to them.

Any one know what they are for, and where they should go? Can I just leave them as is?

The online manual scan for this machine is awful. But there appears to be a bunch of Orange/colour cables going to MPU CN13 says 'Data Line to Printer & Aux' I think.

Yer, I'm sure somebody will explain what its for, I didn't know pinball machines printed.

I think you could print out all the stats about earnings etc etc
Oh how boring, I thought perhaps you could print a Tommy poster, T-shirt transfer or something fun.

@Julian are you doing all the normal checks, fuses, connectors etc before first switch on?

I am hence not turning it on just yet, and asking about wires that are not connected...

There are a few other wires that are disconnected those are flashers as there is a flasher nearby without any wires to it, a tad worrying why they are off!

Ive also this mess, look safe'ish.... New power board on order an X-Pin one

Yes it has blinders and the control board, not tested them yet but it should be possible to get working, I hope....

Those new PCBs look good - funky purple. Shame about the damage, what condition was the machine sold to you as?

What are these blinders?

I've seen your post on pinside - was the knocker missing as well? Same on my Hook somebody's after the knockers.

So I fired it up the other day and half the coils and flashers are not working :(

The good news is boards are starting to arrive, however also now think the playfield power board is also at fault! Great...

I should move this to the shopping out thread....

You have a similar setup to my Hook, high power solenoids standalone and lower power solenoids and flashers in pairs controlled by the L/R relay. The Tommy manual provides a good table on pg 37 (I wish Hook had similar) of exactly how they are paired and relevant driving transistor, wires etc.

The other problem I had was coils not working blowing fuses every time it switched on, so I had to keep checking them all to see what was blowing - PPB and the ones by the Bridge Rectifiers in the back-box.

It may be a simple fix if you can workout exactly what isn't working.
