So what is this bracket and switch for never seen one before?
It's a old tilt mechanism.
Nothing to do with your machine, someone has added this to the machine. Must have wanted it to be pretty sensitive when rocked.

That's an old style tilt switch I think ,used to have a ball that ran in groove so if machine tilted ball rolls and makes switch

Just realised is that why the cab slam switch is disconnected as you can see in the pic?
