ever now and then my ball shooter puts 2 ball into the shooter lane is there any reason it does this it does it at least once per game

The machine is confused about location of the balls.
Start with the ball trough. A sticky/flaky/faulty switch there may mean the game thinks there is still a ball there and so kicks out another. Check the actuator arms are all moving freely and activating switches. Use the switch test and manually load the trough.

it was the 3rd switch at the end of the row which was sticking in the ball through
