Hi all

Finally signed up here (although I feel a bit dirty defecting from Yahoo Groups LOL). Just to let you know I will shortly have a Twilight Zone for sale (probably the end of this week).

It has been completely stripped and rebuilt. Not a Pinball Paradise spit and dirty rag job…

Playfield out; all mechs cleaned and rebuilt. End stops filed down or replaced; coil sleeves changed; rubbers; bulbs etc etc. Wiring looms cleaned. Brackets; screws and metal bits tumbled or machine polished. Gumball machine removed and worked over - same with the clock.

Cabinet is reasonable. Small amount of fade to the right side or front - but pretty good. Left side is faded. Backbox is OK but some dings and touchups. I have resprayed the black surround of the backbox and internally, the cab has been sanded and sides resprayed too. Coin door and bolts repsprayed as well. Not a Woodtechworkshop job – but very neat and tidy, nonetheless.

Playfield and mini PF have signs of planking - but on the main PF it is mainly under the factory mylar - so it hasn't got any worse. A local airbush artist and clearcoater (who has done quite a few PFs for local enthusiasts) quoted me £60 for airbrushing and clearing the mini PF and £150 - 200 for the main PF if that's your thing.

A couple of plastics are cracked - most notably the Magna Save plastic on the mini PF but this is an available part from Phil at PH. All other plastics have been cleaned and flattened.

Powerball has also been tumbled so it's white and squeaky clean.

I don't have pictures yet as it is still in pieces but will have these later this week and I will post these to my new album.

I am based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, and I would far prefer you to come and have a look and kick the tyres and see it for yourself. Even if you just want to kick the tyres and play it – then you’re welcome to!

I am looking for £1800ish. Drop me a mail or PM if interested.

Martin

Can't wait to see some pics, sounds like you've done a great job.

Martin it sounds like it could be a great game with little work. And with the repo p/field that are now out ,it could be made into a minter.

I am tempted myself.

I thought about new PF and decals - but I've got some other pinball projects lined-up and am (finally) about to start a new job. As is, it will make a good player's machine. Not mint by a long stretch but suitably 'refreshed' so it should be trouble free. You're only an hour away - come and have a look. ;-)

Eddie - Dont feel dirty about defecting from the Yahoo Group. You'll find that those here aren't as resistant to change as some

Lol - only joking - have fun here

Was going to go for this but it looks like its sold.

I am sure Martin will confirm when he gets a chance.

Wouldn't be surprised if it has, sent a pm yesterday but think I was too late - should have signed in Saturday

nice deal for someone though by sounds of things.

Apologies - forgot to update this last night but the TZ is now provisionally sold. That's based on the assumption that when I put it back together it actually works....

I am sure it will , we have faith in your put back together skils.

Glad you have faith. You wouldn't have after I managed to destroy three legs on the game ROM when I was trying to remove it....

Pics up of the finished item in my album. My crappy shots never seem to capture some of the nice detail. Time for a new camera I think.
