Very odd issue with my Simpsons Pinball Party.

I started a game and found that loads of switches were not registering, took off the glass and sure enough loads don't trigger, but a tiny amount do.
So put the game in diag mode for switches and they all checkout!

Start a game and again loads don't work, left outlane is ok, pops are ok, skate board is ok but that's about it.
Again put the game in diag mode for switches and all switches trigger when I touch them, even ran through coil test and all coils appear fine.

So why when playing a game do they not work but in diags they are fine>?

Any help appreciated.

Are you testing the switches with a ball or your finger? Ran into this problem with Shadow on a couple switches and it seems my finger could just push the switch deeper than a ball.

As above I've had this with games. You need to roll a ball over them, as you tend to press the switch by hand deeper than a ball rolling over it would press it down

The comic book guy target stopped registering on my old one and like yours it was fine in test. I was stumped but in the end a system reset fixed it. Last resort thing to try, you'll lose all your scores etc so try everything else first.

Using my finger to active switches.

Thanks for the help I have found the solution, took the batteries out so the game was 'reset' as @kevlar said and that has fixed the issue.

What an odd issue and fix....

Yeah I couldn't believe it at the time either. Must be a code bug or whitestar issue I guess.
