OwnEd many years, last night got to sea of simulation 1st ball, with only Zeus and disk not solid, failed to get last shot for portal, so next ball relight Zeus and disk, flashing again, but even after sometime, getting other complete modes, the arcade wouldn't take to sea of sim again. 2nd time around do you have all modes solid?

I've been in that exact position, probably with different modes but couldn't trigger sos again so I assumed exactly that you'd need to get them all solid.
Also, any idea what you have to do in Sos to get Flynn's Arcade lit so you can advance mode? That always helps get up the ladder to portal!

Yep, you have to start again to get another SOS.
To lit arcade shoot the roaming Flynn shot, helpful if gem not solid

As far as I understand it, yes. Not sure though if you have to make the same number of shots to complete the modes.
They just need restarting even if you've already completed them, not so easy to track your progress though.
It's a bitch isn't it. I try to get from plunger first these days.
After sea of simulation, the modes you have completed stay solid, you then need to complete the remaining flashing modes to activate portal can you? I don't remember having a second SOS without playing portal first. If you complete all the modes the first time round, you skip SOS and go straight to Portal with a 100M bonus (or is it 50m, i always try to light double scoring first).
It should be easier as the target is always there!

Seems most people like it, some not so much. If you like the theme and the music you'll probably love it.

I'm in the 'not so much' club .....as are quite a few folk I know.
Had loan of one for a while so had plenty of chance to bond with it. Didn't. It's 'ok' ....Every game felt the same on it - not the deepest ruleset, felt like very linear gameplay.
I think the theme, music and mod-ability keep its popularity up there. The exact same game with less of fanboy theme would never attract the same crowd.

In contrast I got mine when the opportunity arose to see what all the fuss was about and loved it and it still keeps me coming back for more years later. It's a pro and the only mod I fitted was the ramp lighting kit which along with the wicked sound track makes this game feel immersive, especially if you can add a bass sub or headphones. If you like 'quest' games with stages on stages and a hard wizzard to achieve then go for it, also safe in the knowledge that unless you pay a ridiculous amount above the odds you won't lose in the resale as demand > supply

What would a LE sell for these days. Surely a vault release is just round the corner.
Don't hold your breath it's been just around the corner for a few years now. Gary was asked about the vault in an interview recently and said "no more Tron"

Good point, lashings of salt required when listening to Gary, he also backtracked on the TWD premium.
