In the process of updating some pins.
Have various black painted legs. Was thinking quick spray to resolve rust and looking rundown issues.
As i have 4 sets of legs (16 in total) along with a black lock bar.

Any recommendations for a powder coat company ,local to Nottingham/East mids or surrounding areas?
If so, rough idea of cost?

Failing that, which brand of can spray paint would you suggest?

Thanks

Industrial Spray Paint 500ml Satin Black | Toolstation https://share.google/xYCphcggFhS1xiv2X

If rust is minor then you can freshen up with a light sand and the spray paint I use is from toolstation (also good for freshening up inside of cabinets coin doors etc. Priner and aluminium oxide in same range is also good.

If we'll rusted then take to powder coaters as they are and they will sandblast them and finish them well. For well.rusted stuff it's not worth your time and effort and finish not as good.

If you go to a place that powder coats wheels and choose wheel colours like satin or gloss black or silver etc you shouldnt be paying any more than £10 a leg. Less if you get lots done in a batch. Spangly powdercoats and one off colours cost a lot more as they order coats in separate and need to buy much more than is needed for a few legs. Sometimes they may have some tail ends on their shelf from leftovers of other jobs. Don't know anywhere near Midlands but just search for someone.local and give them a call.

Wondering if there's any mileage in adding known (decent) Powdercoaters to the Link directory?? If you guys are happy with adding details here of those you have used, i can add them to the Link directory here : https://www.pinballinfo.com/community/link-directory/
Would be good to get a "recommended" powdercoater in each region...

Sorry to the OP for hijacking your thread!

All good😁. Benefits of pooling knowledge.

Cheers for the information chaps.

Taken onboard. Visited a local powder coaters today. Had a very god informative chat. Whilst the end result was too expensive (£20 per leg). It opened my eyes to opportunities for the future. Ability to add a personal touch. Food for thought for sure.

On this occasion, economics to buy new off the shelf legs/levellers/bolts and move on original kit.

Appreciate your input. Do like the idea to add a personal touch to future pins that isn’t prohibitive. Local company 2 miles away😊

Wow I only pay £4 for each item (leg / lock bar / coin door) shop around I’d say 👍

If you were more local @BrianSoton i would enquire who you use. Postage/handling would wipe out any savings.
It’s a shame, dropped off 28 legs and some side rails / lock bar / coin door this week, it’s a no brainer at £4 each item and a fantastic finish too…. This is satin black, something like candy apple red is a small uplift in the £4 price

I use Potteries Powder Coating in Stoke on Trent, as recommended to me by a local Motorcycle customiser. Good price, bear in mind powder coaters only strip and coat, they don't knock out dints, or straighten, do this yourself before dropping off
